Propryo is a slight twist of the French word “proprio”, which means “home owner”. My sister is trying to explore a few business ideas and we built together this little website where home owners advertise their properties for sale. Propryo is nothing close to a trading platform, it’s only there to advertise properties in a simple way.
The latest addition to the properties for sale is the Villa in Calvi which is a great addition as a featured property!

For the techies, it should work on mobile browsers as well as desktops, having used a little bit of fluid and responsive design and built as a sinatra pure ruby application hosted on heroku, using yaml configuration files and photos hosted on flickr.

The design for the Cloud Nine Media site has been completely overhauled, and the front end code updated to support mobile devices in a flexible fashion. Following user feedback on the version 1, Steve and I decided to switch to a lightly colored theme and develop extra features to support social networks sharing and proper access on mobile devices.

This post could also be entitled/summarised with “rant, rant, rant”, but for my own sake, I’ll make the effort of explaining what’s behind it.
My full time job title is “Front-end developer”. To anyone outside the web industry, it either means “err…. no idea”, or “a dude that makes websites”. A while back I posted about frustration I had about a project not being released. I posted it with a blurred screenshot of a site that will not get released. I’ve re-read the terms of my contract with Orange and it’s clearly accepted in it that I have the right to produce static assets for portfolio matters. Here they are!
